Elizabeth Gordon McKim, "The Jazz Poet of Lynn", is hosting a launch reception for her latest book Elizabethridge: A Memoir in Poetry, Song and Story. This fascinating memoir of Elizabeth's life with the famed poet Etheridge Knight (1931-1991) is alive with stories, poems and songs of love and features Previously Unpublished Poems by Etheridge Knight.

The reception will feature stories, songs and reminiscences of McKim's time with Knight as well as readings of their poetry, musicians and the spirit of poetry, improvisation and movement that Elizabeth is known for locally and abroad.

Elizabeth Gordon McKim, known as "The Jazz Poet of Lynn", is the author of 9 collections of poetry and the coauthor of the teaching guide Beyond Words. Her poems and essays have appeared in many journals. She taught at Lesley University where she was a pioneer member of the Arts Institute for Expressive Therapy. Her roots are in the oral tradition of song, story, improvisation and poem and she has worked with teachers and artists of all disciplines across the world to help them weave poetry into their daily lives and curricula. She is the Poet Laureate of the European Graduate School in Saas Fee, Switzerland.
